GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 26th JANUARY 2026 — HCG Aastha Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad, organized a thought-provoking family drama as a charity-driven awareness initiative focused on the early diagnosis and prevention of cervical cancer. The impactful event witnessed participation from more than 600 attendees, including doctors, cancer patients, survivors, healthcare professionals, and members of the general public.
The awareness program was led by the Gynaec Oncology Department of HCG Aastha Cancer Centre, under the guidance of Dr. Kalpana Kothari, Chief – Gynaec Oncology Department, Consultant – Robotic Surgery and HIPEC Surgeon, Dr. Viral Patel, Senior Consultant – Gynaecological Oncology and Robotic Surgeon, and Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Consultant – Gynaecological Oncology, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon, along with the HCG Aastha team and Aarti Soni Production House.
Held at Thakurbhai Desai Hall, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, the evening used the medium of theatre to sensitively portray the importance of cervical cancer screening, early detection, and HPV vaccination. The performance resonated strongly with the audience, encouraging open dialogue around women’s health and preventive oncology.
Medical experts present highlighted that cervical cancer is among the most preventable cancers, yet continues to claim lives due to lack of awareness and delayed intervention. Through this initiative, HCG Aastha Cancer Centre reaffirmed its commitment to taking cancer awareness beyond hospital walls and directly into the community.
All funds raised through the event will be utilized for cervical cancer prevention initiatives and HPV vaccination programs, especially for women and girls from underserved sections of society.The event stood as a powerful example of how healthcare, community engagement, and art can come together to create meaningful impact—protecting lives through awareness, education, and timely prevention.
