Spiritual leader presents Chitrakut Awards to teachers and inaugurates Central School at Talgajarda
Talgajarda Gujarat | 14th January 2026 — Revered spiritual leader Morari Bapu presented the Chitrakut Awards to teachers from across Gujarat and also inaugurated the Central School at Talgajarda on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti on Wednesday.
The Chitrakut Awards were presented to teachers from 34 districts and two municipalities of the state with the inspiration of Chitrakutdham Talgajarda, recognising their immense contributions.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Manubhai Shiyal, Taluka President of the Gujarat Teachers’ Association. The keynote address was delivered by Jaimin Patel, the association’s General Secretary.
Addressing the gathering, Digvijaysinh Jadeja, President of the Gujarat Teachers’ Association, shared that he has had the privilege of attending the Chitrakut Awards ceremony for 11 consecutive years, describing his association with Morari Bapu in this sacred initiative as one of the most valuable experiences of his life.
State Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani said that during his tenure as Education Minister, he consistently made efforts to understand the hardships of teachers and respond empathetically to their concerns. He said that nearly 600 teachers suffering from serious illnesses were given transfers as per their requests to ease their difficulties.
In his address, Morari Bapu urged teachers to care not only for their own schools but also for Sky, Water, Earth, Air and Fire, the five universal schools of life. He said that the sky is the school of joy, water the school of life, air the school of exercise, fire the school of purity, and earth the school of learning.
He said that those who stand with truth stand fearless, and cautioned that science devoid of sensitivity amounts to intellectual wrongdoing. Bapu expressed gratitude to all participants for their presence and appreciation of the noble cause, and also conveyed his happiness at Jitu Vaghani’s transition, likening it to the journey from a rishi’s vision to service for the land.
The Mahuva Taluka Teachers’ conference was also held along the event, during which 13 retired teachers were honoured for their years of dedicated service. A special retirement felicitation was accorded to Bharatbhai Pandya of Bagdana, who has played a key role in organising this programme over the years.
MLA Shiva Gohil, District Education Officer Hitendrasinh Padheriya, District Teachers’ Association President Navghanbhai, and General Secretary PP Sarvaiya were among the other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
