AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 28th MARCH 2026 — Leading Bollywood production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, has announced its foray into Gujarati cinema with the upcoming film “Dhabkaro” as it completes 75 years in the Indian film industry.
The film, produced in collaboration with The Moving Manch and Harfanmaula Films, is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 1, coinciding with Gujarat Foundation Day.
Dhabkaro is written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhishek Shah, known for critically acclaimed and commercially successful Gujarati films such as Hellaro and Umbro. The film stars popular actors Deven Bhojani and Arjav Trivedi in lead roles.
Speaking about the upcoming film, representatives of The Moving Manch and Harfanmaula Films said, “We are excited to bring Dhabkaro to audiences. Partnering with a prestigious banner like Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has strengthened our vision and will help us take this story to a wider audience.”
Founded by filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is known for producing major Hindi films such as Chhichhore, Highway, Super 30 and Tamasha. The production house’s entry into Gujarati cinema reflects its intent to back strong regional storytelling.
Commenting on the release, writer and director Abhishek Shah said Gujarat Foundation Day in 2026 would be a significant occasion for the Gujarati film industry.
“Dhabkaro is a lightly told heartwarming story. Audiences will strongly feel their own dhabkaro (heartbeats) in the film,” he said.
The film is expected to further strengthen the momentum of regional cinema by combining established production expertise with strong regional content.
