Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) Signs MoU with the Border Security Force and Indian Army to Support Personnel and Their Families

  • AESL Partners with BSF and Indian Army: Signs an MoU to extend nationwide scholarships and special provisions for serving personnel, veterans, Gallantry Awardees, BSF personnel, and families of martyrs enrolling at AESL centres across India.
  • Launch of Five-Year Education Support Initiative: The programme will provide structured coaching access, financial aid, and talent-based examinations to support students from defence and paramilitary families across the country. 

BHUJ, GUJARAT | 13th MARCH 2026 — Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), the national leader in test preparatory services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the BSF (Border Security Force) and Indian Army  to support the welfare of Army personnel and their families, including serving members, retirees, gallantry awardees, personnel with disabilities, and and families of those who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.

In accordance with the Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) will provide linked scholarships, based on terms of service to its eligible personnel and dependents enrolling in an AESL centre in India. In addition, the linked scholarships will operate alongside AESL’s existing merit-based scholarship programs to provide additional access to high-quality academic coaching.

To facilitate broader access to the above-mentioned support programs, AESL will conduct national scholarship and talent identification assessments, including the Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam (ANTHE) and other similar assessments, at designated Defence School Facilities and/or Aakash Educational Service Ltd(AESL) centres at various locations, thereby ensuring accessibility and convenience to eligible candidates across the nation.

Scholarship Support IncludesFor BSF Personnel and Families:

  • Only registration/admission fees payable (100% waiver on tuition and other academic charges) for wards of personnel who lost their lives in service
  • 90% tuition fee waiver for wards of gallantry awardees or personnel with more than 20% disability, subject to required certification
  • 50% waiver on tuition fee for personnel having less than 20% disability.
  • 20% tuition fee waiver for wards of serving and retired personnel, applicable on tuition fees after other eligible scholarships 

For Indian Army Personnel and Families:

  • Only registration feepayablee. 100% waiver on all other fee components for the wards of personnel who died in service
  • 100% tuition fee waiver for the wards of personnel with more than 20% disability and gallantry awardees
  • 20% tuition fee waiver for the wards of serving and retired personnel, applicable after other scholarships are deducted

In addition to providing financial support, both of the MoUs cover ongoing academic mentoring, career guidance and counselling services for students on the virtual and physical platforms. Scholarship programmes will also be promoted through all defence units/institutions to ensure eligible students know how they can apply for each programme.

These scholarships are in addition to AESL’s existing scholarship programs, which are available to all students seeking admission.
