Gujarat, Ahmedabad 29 May 2025: AG Group and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, have officially signed an agreement to launch a 150-room Holiday Inn Ahmedabad. The new four-star development will be located within AG Highline, a 35-storey mixed-use project at New Science City, marking a significant milestone in the city’s evolving skyline and hospitality sector.
The agreement was signed on Thursday by Mr. Vikram Bharvad, Director, Atithi Gokul Hotel & Inn Pvt ltd. and Mr. Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts. To be designed by the renowned Architect Mr. Reza Kabul, one of India’s top Architect, and Project managed by TQ Cert (Tata Enterprise). The Holiday Inn Ahmedabad will feature 150 Rooms, multiple restaurants and banqueting with capacity of 1,000 guests, as well as Swimming Pool, Gym, spa and many more setting new benchmarks in hospitality industry in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikram Bharvad, said: “This project marks a new chapter in our hospitality journey. Holiday Inn Ahmedabad is part of our long-term vision, with plans to develop five to seven more branded hotels and resorts across India in next few years. Having operated Atithi Gokul Club and Hotel for over 25 years, we are confident that the Holiday Inn Ahmedabad will enhance guest experience and also bring vibrancy to Ahmedabad city.”
The Holiday Inn Ahmedabad, with an estimated project cost of Rs. 200 crore, is scheduled to commence construction later this year and begin commercial operations by the end of 2028. It will be the first Holiday Inn in Gujarat, further strengthening IHG’s robust portfolio of over 150 hotels in India and more than 5,000 worldwide.
Also present at the contract signing were AG Group’s Managing Director Bhavan Bharvad, along with Dinesh Bharvad, Dilip Bharvad, Harsh Bharvad, Deep Bharvadand Kartik Patel.
