Astrologer Priyal Shah’s Call to Sell Silver, Buy Gold Proves Timely as Silver Tumbles

AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 11th FEBRUARY 2026 — As silver prices plunged nearly 45% from their peak in less than a week, astrologer Priyal Shah was among the few who advised investors to sell silver and shift into gold, a move that helped investors protect capital.

When market sentiment was overwhelmingly bullish on silver, Shah had urged caution. On January 29 at 6:48 pm, when silver was trading at its all-time high of Rs. 4.20 lakh a kg, he issued a clear call to “sell silver and buy gold”.

“When the whole world was looking to buy silver, I said that anyone who sold silver and moved into gold would make money. Many assume that if silver falls, gold will fall in the same way. That is not always the case,” Shah said.

Silver’s sharp decline validated Shah’s prediction. He said silver fell by around 15% immediately after his call, while gold declined by 8–9%, enabling investors who switched metals to make a net gain of 6–7%.

“My prediction was only for genuine investors, not speculators. Those who replaced their silver holdings with gold benefited,” he said.

Shah attributes silver’s volatility to planetary influences, explaining that silver is represented by the Moon, while gold is influenced by multiple planetary systems, making it relatively more stable.

“There is no harm in investing in silver, but it is a far riskier bet. Silver is heavily impacted by planetary movements, and the alignment changed when prices started falling,” he added.

Looking ahead, Shah said the current phase clearly favours gold over silver. He advises investors to allocate 70–80% of their precious metals exposure to gold and 10-20% to silver, adding that those seeking exposure to only one precious metal should opt entirely for gold.

“Silver can crash sharply, while gold tends to hold above a certain level. Many experts are saying that silver may rise to Rs. 4–4.5 lakh, though the chances are low. In this phase, gold remains the safer option,” he added.

Astrologer Priyal Shah reiterated that his forecasts are aimed at long-term, genuine investors rather than short-term traders, and warned that silver’s volatility could lead to heavy losses if market timing goes wrong.
