Ahmedabad 30 May 2025: Symposium 2025, the flagship annual event of BNI Ahmedabad, commenced on Friday with great enthusiasm and an inspiring keynote by renowned entrepreneur Chandubhai Virani. Organised in collaboration with Sicilian Ventures, the three-day gathering is set to become a landmark event in Ahmedabad’s business calendar.
Addressing a packed audience of business leaders, professionals, and innovators, Chandubhai Virani, Founder of Balaji Wafers, shared the story of his humble beginnings and the determination that built one of India’s most popular snack brands..
“In the early days, we sold wafers from a small house in Rajkot. Some people laughed at us, some refused our product, but I never felt small. No matter what anyone said, I believed in the dignity of honest work. We did not have education or experience, but we had intent. So, we invested in automation, in quality, and in reaching the consumer,” he said.
“Over the years, I have learnt that blame comes whether you work or don’t. The key is to focus on improvement, not complaints. We faced setbacks, lost money and made mistakes, but every challenge became a lesson. My brothers and I stood together. And that, more than anything, became the foundation of our journey,” he added.
The Symposium features an exciting lineup of learning sessions, panel discussions, roundtable meets and exhibitions, alongside a mix of wellness, networking, and entertainment. The agenda includes power team showcases and investor pitch events such as the Dolphin Tank.
Other highlights include the Zen Den, a wellness lounge promoting mindfulness, the Sicilian Corridor, a live marketplace for product demos, and the Sicilian Conclave, enabling cross-chapter engagement. The event will culminate with Sicilian’s Got Talent and the Sicilian Gala Night on June 1.
