Clear Premium Water installs 100% recyclable benches made from recycled plastic in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad 25th September 2024: Clear Premium Water, a leading name in the bottled water industry, has successfully concluded a pilot campaign in partnership with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to install 100% recyclable benches made from recycled plastic. This initiative forms part of Clear Premium Water’s broader sustainability efforts aimed at reducing plastic waste and carbon emissions, while offering practical solutions to the community.

As part of the campaign, the eco-friendly benches have been placed in key locations across Ahmedabad, including Prahladnagar, South Bopal, and Makarba. These strategically installed benches not only serve as convenient seating solutions but also contribute to environmental preservation by repurposing plastic waste into usable resources. The initiative underscores Clear Premium Water’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Mirant Parikh, Deputy Municipal Commissioner for the South West Zone of AMC, spoke on the significance of the project, adding “As part of our commitment under Swachh Survekshan 2024 and to further the vision of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, the AMC is keen to promote a circular economy. We have installed the recyclable benches in prominent locations such as Prahladnagar, Makarba and South Bopal in collaboration with Clear Premium Water as a part of its CSR commitment and extended producer responsibility. This initiative not only raises awareness about recycling but also provides a much-needed facility to the citizens. We at AMC remain committed to sustainable urban development.”
