India Highlights:
- Trademark Coca-Cola and Thums Up, a cherished regional brand, are fueling consumers and contributed to double-digit volume growth for the market in the first quarter.
- Maha Kumbh Mela Festival: For the first time in the company’s history, the system intensified an integrated activation consisting of hundreds of refreshment zones, approximately 1,400 mobile stations and a world-record-long 100 cooler-door wall, leading to over 180 million servings consumed during the gathering.
- For this Quarter, Unit case volume grew 2%, led by India, China, and Brazil • In January, February and December 2024, the company refranchised our bottling operations in certain territories in India.
- During the three months ended March 29, 2024, the company recorded net gains of $599 million and $293 million related to the refranchising of our bottling operations in the Philippines and in certain territories in India, respectively.
- The company also incurred $7 million of transaction costs related to the refranchising of our bottling operations in certain territories in India
