Collabera Launches GCC in Vadodara, its first in a Tier 2 city

Shaping the GCC Landscape with a Thriving Ecosystem for Global Capabilities

VADODARA, GUJARAT | 25th JANUARY 2026 — Collabera, a leading global digital talent solutions firm, has announced the launch of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Vadodara, Gujarat, marking the company’s first GCC in a Tier 2 city and a significant milestone in its India growth strategy.

The Vadodara GCC has been established as a state-of-the-art capability hub designed to support organisations to build, scale and transform global operations. The centre integrates delivery excellence, governance and talent into a single operating ecosystem, enabling teams to expand rapidly while maintaining quality and consistent delivery. It is positioned both as an incubation centre and growth hub, supporting teams that require speed, standardisation and dependable outcomes.

Vadodara was selected for the new centre due to its strong fundamentals for sustainable GCC growth. As Gujarat’s third-largest city, Vadodara offers an established industrial base across chemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, textiles and engineering, supported by its strategic location along the Ahmedabad-Surat corridor aligned with the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

The city also benefits from a robust talent pipeline, anchored by institutions such as The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, which continues to produce large cohorts of skilled graduates. Moreover, lower living costs compared with the larger cities further enhance Vadodara’s attractiveness for long-term talent retention and scalable operations.

Global CFO and COO, Ranjith Doshi of Collabera, said, “Vadodara gives us the right balance of talent depth, operational stability and cost efficiency. Our goal is to combine the inherent advantages of Tier 2 locations with Tier 1 execution standards, creating a GCC model that is reliable, repeatable and built for long-term outcomes.”

India continues to strengthen its position as the world’s leading destination for GCCs. As of FY24, the country hosts more than 1,700 GCCs employing close to 1.9 million professionals, with total GCC revenue estimated at $64.6 billion. India accounts for approximately 53% of GCCs worldwide, reflecting the depth and maturity of its talent and delivery ecosystem. By the end of 2024, GCCs contributed 17.2% of India’s services exports, highlighting the sector’s expanding role in the national economy.

Across India, Tier 2 cities are increasingly emerging as preferred GCC destinations, offering faster expansion, stronger workforce continuity, reduced hiring volatility and lower dependence on metros. The Vadodara GCC showcases this shift, with a delivery model focused on compounding capabilities, establishing a strong operating rhythm and building teams that can scale without disruption.

Founded in 1996, Collabera is approaching three decades of supporting businesses through talent- and technology-led solutions. The launch of the Vadodara GCC reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to India and its intent to play a key role in shaping the next phase of GCC evolution through sustainable, outcome-driven capability building.
