GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 28th JANUARY 2026 — JG International School (JGIS) proudly inaugurated the JG Cup 2026 – Under-15 Football Tournament, marking the return of one of Gujarat’s most respected grassroots football events. First introduced in 2010 as Gujarat’s first floodlit school football tournament, the JG Cup returns as JG Cup 2.0, with continued support from the Ahmedabad District Football Association (ADFA).
The JG Cup 2026 is being held from January 27 to January 31, 2026, exclusively for under-15 boys. The tournament features 16 leading school teams competing in a pure knockout format, with all matches played under floodlights. Over 150 young footballers are participating in the five-day tournament.
The Opening Ceremony on January 27, 2026, was inaugurated by the Honourable Chairman, Dr. M. P. Chandran, in the presence of trustees, ADFA officials, coaches, parents, and student players. The ceremony included the unveiling of the JG Cup Trophy, the National Anthem, and the ceremonial kick-off.
The tournament will conclude with the Grand Finale and Closing Ceremony on January 31, 2026, where the champions of JG Cup 2026 will be crowned.
Remaining true to its philosophy, the JG Cup continues as a non-commercial, registration-free tournament, dedicated to promoting football at the grassroots level.
