The state sets Guinness World Record for the “Largest Simultaneous Hindu Text Recital”
Bhopal 11 December 2024: In a monumental celebration of spirituality and culture, Madhya Pradesh’s Department of Culture’s International Gita Mahotsav at Bhopal set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Simultaneous Hindu Text Recital” on Wednesday. The event was aimed at promoting the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage.
The Guinness World Record attempt was planned and executed under the leadership of Nischal Barot, a renowned consultant for large-scale events and record-setting initiatives. His meticulous coordination ensured the seamless execution of this ambitious initiative, earning Madhya Pradesh global recognition.
The event, presided over by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, achieved the milestone with an incredible 3,721 participants reciting verses from the Bhagavad Gita together. The event brought together people from all walks of life, united in their devotion and dedication to India’s spiritual heritage.
This remarkable achievement is a proud moment for Madhya Pradesh, showcasing its commitment to preserving and promoting the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita on a global stage.
Commenting on the achievement, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, said, “This historic achievement reflects the cultural and spiritual strength of our people. The Bhagavad Gita is a timeless guide for humanity, and through this event, we have not only celebrated its teachings but also inspired a deeper connection to its values of unity, self-discipline and universal harmony.”
World record consultant and strategist, Nischal Barot, said, “It is a great feeling to work closely with an Indian state and set another Guinness World Record. The latest record takes Nischal Barot’s impressive portfolio of Guinness World Records to 52. He has become a pioneer in curating and managing large-scale record attempts in collaboration with states and the Centre. His expertise spans conceptualising record-worthy ideas, mobilising mass participation, ensuring evidence compliance and securing successful outcomes.
In addition to the record-setting recital, the International Gita Mahotsav event featured cultural performances and spiritual discourses highlighting the profound wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. The celebration attracted thousands of participants, including devotees and scholars, who witnessed this historic moment.
