GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 05th OCTOBER 2025: Rotary District 3055, under the visionary leadership of District Governor Rtn. Nigam Chaudhary, organized the “Pink Parade – Sareethon” in association with Sterling Hospitals, Sindhu Bhavan, to promote breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection. The event, hosted by the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Asmita and supported by 18 Rotary Clubs from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, witnessed overwhelming participation from over 400 women Rotarians and community members, including members of the Jain Doctors Association.
Project Chair and District Pink Pulse Chair, Rtn. Rakhee Khandelwal, welcomed the guests and highlighted Rotary’s mission to raise awareness and empower women through timely diagnosis and preventive health measures. Participants dressed in pink sarees and T-shirts paraded along the Sabarmati Riverfront and across the Atal Bridge, holding placards promoting the message — “Breast Cancer is Curable: Early Detection is the Key.”
Sterling Hospitals, Sindhu Bhavan extended strong support to the initiative by sponsoring pink T-shirts and offering free mammography screening to all participants, furthering their commitment to women’s healthcare and cancer prevention.
Addressing the gathering, District Governor Rtn. Nigam Chaudhary outlined his vision to expand Rotary’s healthcare focus by championing cervical cancer vaccination for adolescent girls across the district.
Renowned oncologists and cancer survivors Dr. Archana Shah and Dr. Neeta Vyas inspired participants by sharing their personal journeys and powerful message — “Detect, Cure, and Defeat.”
Rtn. AG Setu Shah efficiently coordinated logistics and registrations, while the leadership team of RCA Asmita extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and sponsors.
Speaking on behalf of Sterling Hospitals, Sindhu Bhavan – Facility Director, Mr. Vivek Mishra appreciated Rotary’s noble initiative and reaffirmed Sterling’s commitment to advancing cancer awareness and early detection.
The morning began with an energetic Zumba session, setting a vibrant tone as participants joyfully danced in pink sarees — celebrating life, strength, and solidarity.
The Pink Parade – Sareethon powerfully demonstrated Rotary’s core focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment, uniting the community with the shared resolve to fight and defeat cancer through awareness, compassion, and action.
