GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD | 22nd DECEMBER 2025 — The Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline, under the aegis of Rotary District 3055, successfully hosted Walk of Courage at Krystal Party Plot on Sunday, 21st December, creating an evening filled with emotion, awareness, and impactful action dedicated to cervical cancer prevention and survivor empowerment.
The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of approximately 500 attendees, reflecting strong community support for the cause. The initiative surpassed expectations by raising funds for over 1,500 cervical cancer vaccinations, significantly exceeding the target and placing the project firmly on course to support 5,000 young girls with life-saving vaccines.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Club President Rtn. Jagender Gupta, who set the tone for the evening by highlighting Rotary Skyline’s commitment to causes that create long-term societal impact.
In his address, Rtn. Jagender Gupta stated: “Walk of Courage is not just an event; it is a movement of hope. Today, we are not only raising funds, we are raising awareness, confidence, and courage. Every step taken here is a step towards saving lives and ensuring that no girl suffers due to lack of preventive care.”
The program was graced by District Governor Nigam Chaudhari, along with several Rotary dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Rashmin Majithia, appreciated the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline for conceptualising a program that seamlessly blended awareness, emotion, and action, creating a lasting impact on all present.
One of the most powerful highlights of the evening was a theatrical skit depicting the journey of a cancer patient—from a healthy life to diagnosis, treatment, emotional and physical challenges, recovery, and finally returning to normal life. The performance deeply moved the audience and delivered a strong message that cancer can be fought and won with timely treatment, courage, and support.
This was followed by a deeply emotional ramp walk by nearly 30 cancer survivors, who walked the stage with confidence and pride, symbolising resilience, strength, and victory over cancer. Their presence transformed the event into a living testimony of survival and hope.
The program was Title Sponsored by HCG Aastha Oncology, whose commitment to cancer care and awareness played a vital role in the success of the initiative. The apparel worn by all cancer survivors during the Walk of Courage was graciously sponsored by Asopalav, adding dignity and grace to the survivors’ walk.
Behind the scenes, Salon Partner Nishi Nails provided complimentary makeup support to all the cancer survivors, helping them feel confident, celebrated, and radiant as they took the stage—an act that was deeply appreciated by all.
In a powerful concluding segment, Rotary Skyliners themselves performed on stage, appealing for further contributions for the cause. This heartfelt appeal resonated strongly with the audience and led to generous support from all quarters.
The event was conceptualised and directed by Rtn. Rajat Jain, Show Director, whose inspiring address further elevated the spirit of the evening. The project was executed with exceptional precision by Project Chair Rtn. Rekha Kabra, whose meticulous attention to detail ensured flawless planning and execution at every level.
Adding immense inspiration to the program was Project Co-Chair Rtn. Dr. Archana Shah, herself a cancer survivor, whose powerful presence and stellar performance left the audience deeply moved. The initiative was further strengthened by the active involvement and guidance of District Cervical Cancer Chair Rtn. Dr. Neeta Vyas, who played a crucial role in shaping and supporting the project.
Hospitality for the event was managed by Food Partner Flavours, ensuring a warm and comfortable experience for all participants.
Walk of Courage emerged as a program with true substance—where compassion met action, emotion met purpose, and collective effort translated into measurable impact. With support pouring in from all sections of society, the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline once again demonstrated that meaningful change is possible when communities come together with courage and commitment.
