AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT | 31st OCTOBER 2026 | At an age when most children are busy with school, play and hobbies, eight-year-old Jaybir Singh Gurudutt from Ahmedabad is making headlines with his extraordinary fitness achievements. A Grade 3 student of Ahmedabad International School, Jaybir has achieved two national records, bringing pride to Ahmedabad and Gujarat.
Recognised by the India Book of Records, Jaybir performed 122 Mountain Climbers in one minute and completed 137 Weighted Jumping Jacks in one minute while wearing 500 grams of additional weight on each ankle.
This is not his first major achievement. On September 20, 2026, Jaybir also created a world record by performing 156 Plank Jacks in one minute, which was recognised by World Records India.
Behind these remarkable achievements are hours of dedicated practice and consistent hard work. Jaybir trains for 3–4 hours every day under the guidance of Sardar Amandeep Singh Gotra, a Certified NIS Coach, International Wushu Champion, Prime Minister Awardee and Government Coach. His training focuses on strength, endurance, physical fitness and preparation for specific record attempts.
Jaybir is the son of Mr. Harshmeet Singh Gurudutt and Mrs. Khushboo Kaur Gurudutt. His dedication towards fitness, along with the encouragement of his family and guidance from his coach, has helped him achieve these milestones at such a young age.
Jaybir’s journey is an example of how dedication and consistent effort can help children achieve extraordinary goals. His achievements are not only a proud moment for his family and school but also an inspiration for other young children to explore sports, stay active and follow their dreams.
