- Collaboration to advance workforce development through AI and semiconductor learning pathways, faculty development, curriculum integration and industry-aligned certifications
NEW DELHI | 23rd SEPTEMBER 2026 | NAMTECH (New Age Makers’ Institute of Technology), a not-for-profit education venture of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) India and the country’s first Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) institute, and Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SEMICON India 2026 to collaborate on developing a future-ready workforce equipped with foundational AI and semiconductor skills.
The collaboration aims to advance the talent development pillar of the SEMICON 2.0 framework and aligns with the theme of SEMICON India 2026, “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem.”
Through this collaboration, NAMTECH will work with Intel to roll out the Intel® AI for Future Workforce program, aimed at building foundational AI capabilities and employability skills for the digital economy. It will also introduce semiconductor-focused initiatives under Intel’s Digital Readiness programs, enabling learners to develop foundational awareness of semiconductor technologies, applications and career pathways, alongside industry-relevant technical and professional skills.
The initiative will enable faculty development through train-the-trainer programmes, deployment of Intel’s AI and semiconductor learning pathways, co-branded certifications and curriculum integration across NAMTECH programmes. It will also explore scalable workforce-development initiatives for students, professionals and industry participants.
A key focus will be building a deeper understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem – including chip design, manufacturing and testing, while creating clearer career pathways that connect skilled talent with relevant opportunities in the industry.
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Mr. Gokul V. Subramaniam, President, Intel India and Vice President, Client Computing and Physical AI Group, Intel; Ms. Sarah Kemp, Vice President, International Government Affairs, Intel Corporation, USA; and Dr. Ibrahim Hafeezur Rehman, Director General & CEO, NAMTECH.
