Ahmedabad 20 November 2024: SFA Championships 2024 Ahmedabad continued to captivate with high-energy performances on Day 2 as Swimming events took centre stage. The day’s highlights included medal-winning performances in exciting races such as the 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, and 50m Breaststroke, where young swimmers demonstrated exceptional speed and precision. The challenging 200m Individual Medley added to the excitement, testing athletes’ versatility and endurance across multiple strokes.
Sports For All (SFA) is committed to professionalising, organising, and monetising grassroots sports, aiming to foster a culture that values and invests in sports nationwide. The championships this year will run until November 26, roping in participants from across Ahmedabad in a hunt for the best talents. This year, an impressive 14,764 athletes, aged 3 to 18, from 387 schools are participating in the event.
The SFA Championships 2024 will bring an exciting lineup of competitions to Ahmedabad. The event will feature a range of sports, including athletics, badminton, football, chess, kabaddi, karate, swimming, kho kho, basketball, table tennis, volleyball and yogasana.
Thursday’s play saw the excitement continue with the ongoing Football and Kho Kho tournaments, while Badminton and Basketball added fresh energy to the competition as they kicked off their respective matches, drawing strong participation and spirited performances.
As they had on Day 1 of the SFA Championships 2024 Ahmedabad, Udgam School for Children, Thaltej, finished the proceedings ahead of the competition. Trailing Udgam at the summit at the end of the day were Anand Niketan School, Satellite, and Ahmedabad International School, Bodakdev, in second and third place, respectively.
